Another Lan Chin Classic...nicknamed 'The Cage' by some of its patrons as you sit inside in a knock-up space, covered but instead of having walls you are surrounded by iron bars! Don't let this put you off though, it's actually quite good for fresh air and is a buzzing, early evening meet-up spot suitable for large groups.
The location is excellent just a stone's throw from the Opera House (which makes you wonder about its long term future given it's potential real estate value - we have all lamented the loss of one of Hanoi's finest quaffing establishments just around the corner on Tong Dan now renovated into another charmless, meaningless fancy 'ca phe nhac'!!).

Back to 2 Trang Tien... good n friendly service, high standard of bia hoi grub with an extensive menu, a popular spot for watching football, decent fresh bia.....

All a man needs except one thing and that's also provided for just outside by any number of ladies of the night scooting around on their Waves n Honda Dreams in this area between Trang Tien and Pham Ngu Lao.
